Insurance Coverage
The majority of the plastic surgery procedures performed on patients with massive weight loss are not covered by health care insurance companies and are considered cosmetic procedures. A list of the plastic surgery procedures and their costs including overnight stays and operating room charges are available in our office.
If you are considering using your health insurance policy for any of the above mentioned procedures, you must contact your insurance company member services line to get a letter stating coverage is available. It must state that the procedures you are interested in undergoing are an available covered benefit under your plan. This letter is needed to schedule your consultation with our office.
